Three Las Vegas sportsbooks are now offering drive-thru and curbside betting in the city. These services are aimed at helping bettors open mobile accounts and make deposits in them. In Nevada, sportsbooks can offer mobile betting, but gamblers have to register in person with valid IDs.
On Thursday morning, Circa Sports opened its service at the Golden Gate Hotel and Casino, just a day after South Point Hotel and Casino took its first deposits. From Friday, William Hill will also be opening at four Vegas locations and one in Sparks.
When Governor Steve Sisolak closed local casino resorts, sportsbooks suffered, too. They were unable to register new accounts as Nevada entered quarantine for the next two months. However, NV flattened the curve at just over 250 cases, allowing the Governor to start planning for re-opening. So, what’s going to happen with these services?
Health and Safety at Las Vegas Sportsbooks Registration
At Circa Sports, bettors could pull into the valet area at Golden Gate and open their accounts. Employees are wearing face masks and sanitizing as they go. While customers can make deposits with cash, Circa can’t give out money for regulatory and safety reasons.
So, winning bets or canceled wagers will be paid into their mobile accounts. In a press release, Circa revealed that the drive-thru will be open seven days a week from 10am to 6pm.
Prizes and Other Offers
William Hill will be opening five locations and will also insist on masks for the customer-facing employees who open the new accounts. Meanwhile, existing customers will get a $65 bonus for anyone betting on the $249 fight card. New bettors who deposit $100 on the event will also get the bonus.
Besides creating new accounts, bettors can sign up with Circa for two NFL contests, the Million II and Survivor games. The handicapping pool includes $250 000 in prizes for 50 participants throughout the season. Overall winners will get $1 million and a custom blazer.
All in all, Las Vegas sportsbooks might have the right idea with these services. Customers get to interact with others and start making some cashback on available markets. Of course, the challenges of this pandemic also open up possible infections and state backtrack on re-opening plans.
